Academic background
Favour Agabi is a young, vibrant, dynamic and excellence driven personality. She is a recent graduate of History and International Studies, with focus on the History of Science and Technology (HST), National and International Security, Peace and Conflict Management, Economic History and Development Studies. Her academic discipline has taught her, among other things, how to carry out in-depth research, organised writing and time management.
Skills
She is a very creative writer, basic graphics designer and video editor. She is also a lover of languages, or better say, a Polyglot who currently speaks 4 languages aside English. She is also a humanitarian by nature and a lover of kids and kids wellbeing.
Work experience
During her undergraduate studies, she was actively involved in children and youth social works both offline and online. She also interned in diverse capacities; as a Writer and Researcher, Social media manager, Graphics designer, Administrative Assistant and Personal Assistant for a year and a month in a language based e-learning company. During her internship, she was responsible for the supervision of online lessons among other duties. She has also volunteered for an NGO for three months, as a project assistant. She currently volunteers for an NGO as a Graphics designer. She is a Millennium fellow and currently an alumni who passionately advocates for SDGs 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Favour is actively involved in using edtech tools in creating valuable impacts on the educational system; she currently helps students, especially undergraduates, get all the basic knowledge, skills and competencies needed to become people of their dream, using technology and networking. Even while a student, she successfully trained over fifty young persons within a year in highly valuable digital and entrepreneurial skills through her company's platform, known as The Refined-U Digital Academy in Nigeria.
